However, this is just one of the many benefits of the Ramblers affiliation with Cotswold Outdoor. We are committed to supporting our local outdoor community and it is part of my role to ensure that our local affiliate groups are aware of the free services that we can offer them. The reason for my message today is to introduce myself and these free services to your group:Kit Talks – Delivered by our highly trained staff, our kits talks help ensure you are properly prepared for all your outdoor adventures. Understand exactly what to take and why you should take it. Talks can take place in store or at a venue of your choice.

Free meeting space – We have a meeting room above the Nottingham store that can be used at any time during store opening hours. We can also arrange the use of the shop floor outside of store opening hours for groups wishing to arrange events such as lectures.

Kit Demonstrations – We can bring out examples of kit to groups such as GPS units to demonstrate their use.

Boot/Rucksack fitting clinics – A comfortable pair of walking boots and rucksack are key pieces of kit for any keen walker and can cause the most problems when incorrectly fitted. Our staff are trained in footwear and rucksack fitting and we can arrange a ‘fitting clinic’ for groups to help try and resolve any fitting issues for members.

We can also use our store social media pages and our store community page on the Cotswold Outdoor website to promote groups online.
