Vale of Belvoir Ramblers

January 2024 - Please visit the What's New page for the latest information.

We're a small and friendly Group of the Nottinghamshire Area Ramblers Association based in the Vale of Belvoir.  Our varied programme offers weekly Sunday and monthly mid-week walks and in June and July we have leisurely evening strolls often ending with a sociable drink at a pub.

Many of our walks are in and around the Vale but we regularly travel further afield to Derbyshire and the Peak District and other East Midlands counties

This  website complements the VBR weekly blog where the latest information on our Walks Programme can be found.  It also includes photographs of our walks since January 2014 and Weekends Away since 2006.  Over four hundred and fifty routes are also available there to visitors as .gpx files, OpenStreetMap raster images or links to OS Maps.

In the Summer every year, we have two longer walks on consecutive days in the Peak District to give members the opportunity of taking a weekend break there and to avoid excessive travel.  On the Peak District Weekends page are some images of our walks in the Dark Peak and White Peak from 2014 onwards.

And every September the Group spends a long weekend away.  On the Weekends Away page you can find photographs of trips to Keswick (2006), New Forest (2007), Hawes (2008), Whitby (2009), Cotswolds (2010), Settle (2011), Wooler (2012), Pickering (2013), Teesdale (2014), North Norfolk (2015), Ludlow (2016), Church Stretton (2017), Malhamdale (2018), Dolgellau (2019), Selworthy (2020), Bourton on the Water ( 2021) and Derwentwater (2022).
