Where do we walk?  And how far?

We are often asked "Where do you walk?  And how far?"  And how many people come on your walks?

Well, here are the answers.

The Vale of Belvoir Ramblers Group has 107 members about half of whom, have walked with us in the past twelve months though numbers have been swelled to over 80 by Ramblers from other Groups and visitors.

Nearly all of our regular walkers (35) are experienced Walk Leaders.

We have completed 71 walk over the past 12 months with numbers attending varying from 6  (Peak District walk) to 27 (just before the Christmas meal) with an average of 15.

Here are the tracks of many of our routes and you can see most are within easy reach of the Vale of Belvoir as well as many in the Peak District (see Peak District Weekends for more details).

And how far?

Our walks in the Winter are usually between 6 and 10 miles but in the Summer we also have mid-week Evening Strolls which are shorter.  This chart shows how many recent walks fit into the various distance categories.
